Let's start this discussion. After the critical success of "Lukas/The Bouncer" many people are wondering if JC should pause its American projects and focus on other European projects. As European, I can say that Euro productions are improving regarding quality of acting and production values, I'm not saying we under a new cinematic renaissance but still it's a good moment, especially for Euro thrillers.
As example of Euro thrillers I'll post the trailer of "Il Testimone Invisibile" that its out this December in Italy by Warner Bros Italy and looks really good. Honestly I would love to see JCVD joining an Italian thriller project directed by someone like Stefano Sollima and starring alongside good Italian actors such as Riccardo Scamarcio, Alessio Boni, Luca Marinelli, Valerio Mastandrea, Alessandro Borghi etc etc
It's not an easy choice for JC because, outside of France, he should take some Euro languages lessons but I think it's a far better option than autofinancing projects like "Three Coyotes" which could turn out very bad.

No, not focus on it, but do both. The European movies are more dark, I personally prefer American optimism.
Lukas did have good critics but the numbers have not been good so far. I don't expect that the American release of The Bouncer will be a big success, but we will have to wait and see.
I hope The Tower will happen.

"The Tower" would be great but how many chances it has to see the light ? It would be cool to do both but it's difficult cause European productions usually last at least 2 months on set, if you also count the prep then the eventual project would need 4 months of work. I'm assuming that one of the two 2019 lead projects JC will play is going to be "Falcon Man".
So I think there is space for a lead role and a special appareance (Kickboxer Armageddon ?) I really would prefer an Euro project over a low budget American film this time, not because it's more "dark" but because American action small films are becoming repetitive and are run out of ideas. It's not a casuality that JC wants to autofinancing its own projects trough Rodin.

The European movies have more of an art-y look and feel and they are indeed have more art in it. While American are more commercial stuff, which I also like. I really want a mix of both.
