Black Water has been a huge box office success grossing 8 million dollars in Asia (Budget was 4 million). Now Lukas will have its chance in France, Belgium and maybe other European countries. What numbers exactly are you expecting ? I guess 5 million in total would be decent numbers, with 10 million it would be a success for me. If it will do 2 or 3 million it would be a flop considering that the film budget was around 10 million euro.
I'm assuming that the theatrical release will be wide and not limited. If it's limited then 2 million would be already a success.

Well, it has a good chance to become successful. The trailer has had a good reception. It also helps that they have some names in the movie with a big fan-base:

I agree! reception is very good, I would say 50% chances to be successful. No more at the moment because JC is out from wide cinemas since long time in Europe, that's negative for the general following of the project but hopefully the promotion will help to convince people to buy the tickets.
I don't know how many screens get wide releases in France but I guess it should be similar to Italy because we have a similar number of population. So I think from 500 to 1.000 screens.
No way this film will have 600 screens in Italy though. It will get a "medium" release of 350 screens if wide, 150 screens if limited.

So what do you guys think about the possible 7,000 theaters in China? Sounds like that number is to big, doesn't it? Also, from what I know China has a 35 movies per year limit for non-Chinese movies. No idea how big ate its chances.
And yet, Black Water got China release, so who knows.

Autumn is too generic, I doubt she knows the date, it just means the film won't be released in italy this August.

JC is doing premieres in Paris since yesterday, all cinemas looked "sold out". Now I seriously expect "Lukas" to open in TOP 5 on first week of the French box office. It's impossible to have numerous sold out premieres in various cities that then turn into empty cinemas when it get wide, I expect half full cinemas overall. A theatrical success can open many doors for other theatrical European productions for JCVD.
