Just a supporting role for JC that joined the production because of John Hyams directing it. The lead is Cung Le and honestly he isn't a good actor making the film a little hard to watch for me, so you have to skip the acting and watching action, it's the only stuff that worth the watch.

I rewachted this movie on August 7, 2018. The first time I watched this movie was in October 2014. I liked the movie back then, I rated it an 7 out of 10. This time around it was a lot less interesting. I knew the story and the main actor is boring. The other characters have to make this movie worth watching and luckily they do. It's always fun to see JCVD spar, his kicking looks so easy and relaxed. The training sessions of the main character without JCVD are boring though.
The story is a bit strange, but it's OK. There are some scenes that were very good like the scene in the house of the junkie. I really liked that scene. The bad guy (the old man) was very good too.
There were a couple of things that seemed unrealistic and needed to be explained, but no explanation was provided. For example I don't understand how the main character is an expert in safe-cracking.
The second watch was, like I said a lot less fun, so I rate the movie a -6/10 for the second watch.

yeh im the same , i see the fights in the trailers and i have to watch the movie , it was an ok movie ,, i went op shopping yest .. and to my surprise i found the Blu ray . has special features , ill will share , i have heaps to share and not enough time ,so bare with me ,, i need to find a good blue ray software for my old pc .. its worked once and hasnt worked again , so im doing my best with the Blue rays  |
