Kickboxer Vengeance - 10/10 (Blu-ray)
Watched it finally!!! As a JCVD fan for life I waited for a film like that for many years. I loved every minute of this masterpiece and couldn't sit down or shut up during many scenes due excessive excitement! After 10 minutes I got the most important thing, this is NOT a remake but a new story using the characters of the original JCVD film, so the "I've already see that" factor was really minimum. As a martial arts lover I can say all the fights were really great! Loved JC fighting! Alain fighting! GSP fighting! Bautista fighting! JC's role was really fantastic! JC vs Alain was magnificent! JC vs GSP was fluid and fast! Bautista was as minacious as original Tong Po. The greatest thing comes to end, It is a good martial arts film for a hour but the final 20 minutes long fight brings the film to epicness status. It was a violent, strong, fast, brilliantly well executed final fight sequence, Bautista and Alain did an amazing job. The film is not just an homage to the original but a truly homage to all the best martial arts films. The final dancing scene was really funny, I danced too. :-) Just the music could have been better, you can't beat the 80s music of the original. I can't explain how excited am I about "Kickboxer Retaliation" now, the fact I have to wait another 8-12 months is killing me. I going to re-watch my blu-ray soooo many times in the next few days.
By now I am an Alain Moussi fan and will check his starring roles, I loved him as the lead and as a martial artist, there is charisma and potential in him, nice start of a leading career, I can't wait to see Alain starring in an action film.
