Kurt Zouma reveals he was named after a classic Jean-Claude Van Damme movie character

It appears that the Chelsea star's dad was a big fan of the Belgian's 1989 opus Kickboxer

"My parents were watching a film and it starred Jean-Claude Van Damme," Zouma said.

“He was killing everyone in the movie and at the end of the movie, they saw that his name was Kurt.

“They said, okay we’ll call this kid Kurt and we’ll put Happy [as his middle name] because he will always be happy.”

I thought to name my "future son" Jean Claude but French names are not fashionable in Italy, I guess he would get bullied, better to stick with Leonardo and Marco or at best Dolph! haha :-)
