The Gratuitous B-Movie Column: Pound of Flesh

Pound of Flesh is not the action movie you think it’s going to be. It isn’t a non-stop brawl and shootout. It’s really a kind of somber drama with a heavy dose of action in it. I liked it, but, again, if you’re going in thinking it’s going to be 104 minutes of ass kicking, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re interested in seeing something a bit different from a modern action star, though, give Pound of Flesh a shot. It’s not a classic, but it is good and watchable.
