1993’s Nowhere to Run was an attempt at making Jean-Claude Van Damme more actor than action star. Nowhere to Run did turn a profit and Van Damme fans did support it but it was not the mainstream success some had hoped it would be. Why wasn’t it a huge success? There are probably many answers to that question and I’m not sure this is the forum to discuss it.
But there are other questions surrounding Nowhere to Run and I’ll present those to you now…

Underrated film. It proved back in the 90s that JC can act and that he can handle a deep story with no much action.

I watched this movie on DVD earlier this week. It's got to rate as one of my favourites... that I've seen anyway. There are so many films I haven't seen, and with my phone giving me problems now, I might have to get a new phone before I can even think of ordering Kill Em All, which was on my radar... but I do three other collections too. Thanks for inviting me to follow these boards.

Sunday, 10 June 2018 June-Claude Van Damme: Nowhere To Run (1993) The funniest thing about revisiting the filmography of Jean-Claude Van Damme is finding out how others view his films, and also finding out that some of them weren't the popular hits that the younger version of me thought they were. Take this film, for example. I thought Nowhere To Run was an easy success for JCVD. It wasn't. It made money, but it didn't make lots and lots of money.Read more here: foritismansnumber.blogspot.com/2018/06/june-claude-van-damme-nowhere-to-run.html?spref=tw

Question -- where did Billy's car come from in the beginning of the movie? The prison truck had cleared about a kilometer of road with no cars behind it.. then suddenly there was a car on its tail? Anyway...

Anyway... haha everything is possible in action movies. I was too busy looking at JCVD so I didn't notice that.
