Happy birthday Jean Claude! damn, time goes by so fast, it was yesterday that I was a kid who dreamed of becoming like his hero and now I'm almost 35 years old. I don't hide my frustration that his career is going to end with the current heavy slowdown but JC will forever remain my favorite action star and inspiration, I keep my JCVD collection in a religious way and I am grateful to God of growing up with his films. My family often points out to me how amazing it is that I have maintained the same passion for an actor for over 28 years when people usually only have a phase and then switch actors.
JC dreamed of becoming the new Bruce Lee and making his mark in the world of cinema and I hope he is happy to know that for me and millions of other people he is the greatest and the inspiration of so many action stars like Scott Adkins and Alain Moussi who do not they dreamed of being Bruce Lee but of being Jean Claude Van Damme!
