Still #1 in France and worldwide but as I thought it is gradually going out of the charts of English speaking countries, already out in the UK and Ireland and going out of the TOP10 In Canada very soon and it is surprising being a country with a large French community. It holds up better in the US, Australia and New Zealand but I don't expect it to stay there for long.

10 days #1 in France! I think JC will sign up for more projects with Netflix France, maybe a sequel, he could also star in a new story but still on the action comedy genre, I'm sure they will push on that.

screenrant.com/last-mercenary-jean-claude-van-damme-movies-comparison/?fbclid=IwAR11auOVLuIsQq_wVYTF6JXSEoAz5HYeXEnmhdxQhr0RTfGHxx-d4HcdoqAHow The Last Mercenary Compares To JCVD's Best Action Movies Jean-Claude Van Damme is back in action again in the Netflix romp The Last Mercenary, but how does the action-comedy compare to his best work?[...] The fight scenes of The Last Mercenary are surprisingly impactful for the movie's light-hearted tone, but they still feel different from a typical Van Damme movie. In a lot of ways, The Last Mercenary feels almost like Van Damme jumping into a more typical Jackie Chan movie, with lots of comic relief punctuating the action scenes. The Last Mercenary all-around is arguably more of a comedy with action rather than the other way around, which makes it quite a switch for Van Damme.
That's not to say Van Damme's best action films had no jokes, but The Last Mercenary is certainly much more relaxed than the action movies that made Van Damme famous. The Last Mercenary has fun as a comedic take on a 90's Van Damme movie, so it's a familiar and all-together different experience all at once.
