It seems like people enjoyed my 80s and 90s retrospective videos on Van Damme so here is the 3rd part. This video delves in JCVDs career throughout the 2000s. Soon, I will be releasing the final video in the series.

Nice video but I'd like to give my opinion on the blacklisted thing, yes we heard this from JCVD but did we really analyze what really happened? JC asked for 20 million per film in 1995, lost the deal but his films had a theatrical budget until 2000, a little strange for a blacklisted isn't it? Few people know that "Replicant" was also made for theaters but the studio lost money on another film and did not have the money for the theatrical release of the JCVD film. And who blacklisted Dolph Lundgren and Steven Seagal at the same time? and why JCVD got the villain role in "The Expendables 2" if he was blacklisted from Hollywood ?
No guys, the truth is that everything changed with "The Matrix" in 1999, the studios realized that they could make action movies without the action stars, that's why now action movies have Chris Hemsworth and Keanu Reeves as the lead and Scott Adkins is forced to make independent action movies and never had a chance in Hollywood despite having great action skills.

So you are not a big fan of his movies from the 00's, I do enjoy his movies from that decade. In fact In Hell is one of my favorite movies. I have 6 movies from the 00's which I rated 8/10 or higher.
1) The Order (2001) (8.5) 2) Replicant (2001) (8.5) 3) In Hell (2003) (9) 4) Second In Command (2006) (8) 5) Until Death (2007) (8) 6) JCVD (2008) (8.5)

Yeah, sorry. The 2000s movies felt too DTV for my taste and most of them were so sad. My heart is really in his 80s-90s work, with the exception of JCVD, Expendable 2, and Jean-Claude Van Johnson and actually a lot of his current work is really fun
