“Set in the housing projects of New Jersey, a young Johnny Jones (Robert Crayton) has only known poverty and abuse his entire life. Pushed to the edge, Johnny Jones suffers a mental breakdown and goes on a killing spree like none other in history, leaving a wake of death and carnage wherever he goes. As tensions and murder continue to get worse, the city calls Detective Cutchin (Jean-Claude Van Damme) to take over the case and bring Johnny Jones to justice.”
That article suggests a starring role for JCVD, so why doesn't JC mention this film in its videos?

I think Van Damme is so busy getting ready to film The Legend of Johnny Jones. That he forgot to talk about it in his video. I hear in 10 weeks from now he will film The Legend of Johnny Jones.

Van Damme, Trejo, Sorbo und viele weitere im Slasher-Thriller The Legend of Johnny Jones Von Arthur A. - 15 May 2020
Translated from German by Google:
If all goes well, The Legend of Johnny Jones is slated to kick off a film trilogy. It will also be part of an entire film universe, which is said to include two other trilogies. One of them is an action franchise and starts with the film The Street Avenger. The other is a horror franchise that is slated to start with Detour 95. So a total of nine films that are to culminate in a tenth "epic crossover film" in which all the main characters will collide. The main characters of The Street Avenger and Detour 95, each played by Misha Renee and Siren Mistfallen, appear in The Legend of Johnny Jones. If you have never heard of their names, welcome to the club.
So the idea of a slash with Van Damme, Trejo and other B-Stars is really cool. However, the plans below sound somewhere between megalomaniac and bizarre. I don't know what else I can say. I'll go get a beer.
Finally, below are the highly professional promotional posters for the three films with which the makers are looking for interested buyers: www.filmfutter.com/news/jean-claude-van-damme-slasher/

If you go to IMDB site for The Legend of Johnny Jones. It don't have Van Damme name in casting. They took it off. Maybe in few days they will put it back on. Anyone see that?

What the hell? Didn't knew about those universe project plans, haha. This all sounds like some fan fiction and they're jumping the gun too fast. And seems like JCVD will indeed not be in it, as he is removed from IMDb... Oh well.. I always wanted to see him in a slasher horror movie.

Yes, it does sound like fan fiction and those posters are so bad the whole thing looks like a joke. I'm sorry you got disappointed again about a horror project I know you would love to see one with JCVD.

I bet they added too many known actors and in the end they could not afford JCVD. I guess everything will be closed with a generic "scheduling conflict" statement but JC never signed on anyway.

Angry Troll Studio had this to say
“The gracious and talented Mr. Van Damme said that he loves the project and maybe he can enter the series as another character in the future. Jean Claude Van Damme will always be a hero to us on and off screen. He and his family and team are such wonderful people and it is an honor knowing them.
