www.bulletproofaction.com/2019/05/29/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-double-impact/10 Things You Didn’t Know About Double Impact by Chris The Brain · Published May 29, 2019 · Updated May 29, 2019 One of my favorite collector’s edition Blu-ray releases in recent years was the MVD Rewind Collection release of the Jean-Claude Van Damme classic Lionheart. The Lionheart release was so damn good and chock full of so many special features, I didn’t think it could be topped.

Re-watched it yesterday. I love it more than I did before. There are only two things I didn't like. There are some scenes with 2xJCVD in it that look very fake and it was not necessary to show them both in the same frame in my opinion. And one time Alex makes the OK sign which I think doesn't suite his character.
I think it has a good story and JCVD did an amazing job playing two characters because Alex and Chad are so different and even when Chad is dressed as Alex you still can see it's Chad.
I originaly rated this movie 7.5/10 but now it's 8/10.

Remember it was shot in the early 90's and the CGI wasn't as perfect as it is today, even for theatrical films but overall it felt realistic in my opinion.

Yes, it wasn't bad, but some of it could have easily been avoided. So what I did not like was that they chose not to avoid it in some cases when in my opinion they should have. LOL

I originaly rated this movie 7.5/10 but now it's 8/10. It's such an underrated performance by Van Damme..... Sometimes you truly think there is two of them in the movie, he does a fantastic job playing both characters..... And the scene where he kicks the barrel from Bolo is such a deadly slow motion shot. This movies till holds up as one of the best action movies of all time in my opinion. I find myself watching this every month or so. I remember when my brother and I were young, we argued who was the tougher of the two (Alex or Chad). I always said Chad , and he said Alex.... His point was that Alex still kicked Chad's butt even when he was drunk haha. I guess it's true, if it came down to a real fight Alex likely wins that lol. Chad's fancy kicks were no match for Alex. Damn, I really want to go home and watch this now.

Most JCVD fans have always preferred Alex but personally I always found Chad to be an awesome character, he was truly original and I would have loved to see JC act in a whole movie with a similar character, Alex is a badass character but Chad has something unique and fun, it would work in an action comedy film even today.

I definitely preferred Chad myself when I was young, and still do. I liked his easy going, laid back , funny charact. Alex was bad ass don't get me wrong, but I prefer Chad of the two.
