defilmblog.be/archive/2018/05/21/jean-claude-van-damme-doet-een-under-siege-in-black-water.htmlThis is an article about Black Water, but it turns into a promo for Lukas. The writer does not expect much from Black Water, but he says this about Lukas: Van Damme heeft tevens onlangs in België gedraaid voor zijn nieuwe film The Bouncer (2018) van Julien Leclercq, absoluut geen remake van Road House , maar een grauwe Franse misdaadfilm (teaser trailer). Een film waar ik echt naar uitkijk gezien dit misschien net iets meer brains heeft dan de meeste van zijn films. Translation: Van Damme was recently in Belgium to shoot his new movie The Bouncer (2018) by Julien Leclercq, not a remake of Road House, but a grungy French crime movie (treaser trailer). A movie which I really look forward to since this one may have more brains than the rest of his movies.

Tom Kiesecoms
Contributing Writer; Belgium (@belgianfilmbuff) While somehow having slipped past us last week, the teaser trailer for Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Lukas isn’t a bad way to kick off the new workweek.
In what looks like it could be the Muscles from Brussels’ best and most-character driven work since perhaps JCVD, the 57-year-old actor stars as a nightclub bouncer who is strong-armed into collaborating with the cops. His mission? Infiltrate a dangerous gang and take down their leader. Refusal to comply could mean losing custody of his 8-year-old daughter.
Directed by Julien Leclercq, whose solid action credits include L’assaut and Braqueurs, and written by Jérémie Guez (writer-director of the upcoming A Bluebird in My Heart), the teaser is a visual treat with slick production values, ‘calm before the storm’-build-up, and glimpses of what looks to be well-choreographed fights and a car chase.
Check the teaser for Lukas below and keep an eye out for this one. The French release is set for August 22.

Found one strange comment about the trailer:
I saw the trailer of #JCVD's last movie and I think I recognize a sample in the B.O.F.: a #Samsung ringtone, the one that reminds me to take out the trash in the evening. 🤣

It looks like the original audio is English.

www.facebook.com/thebouncerjcvd/videos/647092658984843/UzpfSTM2NDk4MDI0MDI5MzgyMDoxMDM0MTg2MjgzMzczMjA5/ Translation of the subtitles by Google et moi: We want to know who you are.
Nobody knows you.
The only thing I know is that you're calling yourself Lukas.
You're a bouncer and you smashed a guy and you left him for dead.
Lukas: What do you want from me?
Trabelsi (Interpol): What I want from you is that you work for me
Man: This is simple, the last one standing gets the job.
Man: You start on Friday.
Lisa: You do everything they tell you, right? You're their little dog.
Man: And your daughter? Do you leave her alone when you're going to work?
Daugther of Lukas: Who did that to you?
Lukas: A guy at work.
Man: The first time I saw you, do you know what I said? This guy is either a complete fake or a fucking survivor.
This is not the time to crack, we need you and your daughter needs you too.
Lukas: If anything happens to my daughter I will kill you.

I like the new scenes. Cinematography is top but I'll wait for the trailer in English or Italian audio to understand and follow better the dialogues. For now I stick to the teaser which is amazing.
