I think this was just an internet rumor, JC has never worked for Warner Bros, that would be nice but unlikely.

According to very serious sources that I have on site in Los Angeles and who work for Warner Bros.
Jean-Claude Van Damme will join the cast of "Beetlejuice2".
This would follow the pressure of the fans with Warner for the role of "Johnny Cage" in the next Mortal Kombat.
This project being still under development, there should also be a role for him without it being mentioned if it is indeed the role of "Johnny Cage".
He has been staying in Los Angeles for several months, in particular to prepare this shoot as well as possible as well as a possible new film.

Just as a reminder, I had already mentioned last September the fact that Jean Claude went very often to Warner Bros. studios.
The fact that he regularly comments on posts from the Warner's Facebook page is not insignificant.
I think he must have signed a contract with the studio and we will know more very soon once the filming of "Beetlejuice 2" begins.

and you won't have to wait until July because the shooting will start in 1 month!
This will certainly be the opportunity or never to return to the front of the stage and why not start another career as a "Second role" in big productions.

Well, MK2 starts shooting in June in Australia. BJ2 was last slated for a summer shoot too. Also, can you say what has JCVD being commenting on Warner Bros posts? |

I would wait for some verified source before jumping to conclusions. It would be quite a change for JC to move from lead roles to supporting roles in major productions. I'm afraid JC is too old to play Johnny Cage but if they have an interesting idea why not.

It makes sense, Van Damme fans want to see new movies, so some fans get excited about rumors. This whole Beetlejuice rumor is an odd role for Van Damme, but I wouldn't mind it! Looks like he wants to close his career on a high note with some more different and unique films/roles. I would love to see Van Damme in a John Wick related movie, but I don't see it happening. |
